Got Milk?
Milk's vitamins and minerals can soothe and heal dry skin, making it feel smooth and creamy.
Milk proteins are full of ingredients that occur naturally in your skin, they are easily absorbed and usually don't irritate.
According to researchers, goat's milk is even better than cow's milk. It has more calcium to rejuvenate skin cells and phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, zinc and selenium, which are involved in cell metabolism.
We are now offering a Goat's Milk Lotion to complement out Goat's Milk Soap.

''It all started as a project for my grandchildren. One Mother’s Day, they decided to give their mothers a hand crafted gift that they had made. They made bath fizzies from a recipe we got off the internet.'' said Donna Rug.    ''Then a friend gave me a Bath Bomb she had received as a gift. I liked it so well we went online to find more and I was appalled at the price. I thought, that will be the day I spend that much for a single bath. When I looked at the ingredients in the Bath Bomb I realized they were the same as in the bath fizzies they had just made.'' she continued.   This is the answer the owner of Akron Grove Bath Products gives when asked why in 2002, she started her own company.
She decided to start a business making bath bombs, a few glycerin soaps, and bath salts. This was her entire product line. Her concept was to provide a quality product at a price everyone could afford.
''Initially, we were selling to friends and family and they liked the products. We began doing a few home parties and catalog sales.'' Donna said.
She only had a product line of about 10 different items then. Soon after, she started the ''Craft Show'' circuit and had reasonable sales from them. Her natural, home made products sold well.   Slowly, she started to add additional scents and other products. Eventually, her products were in several local shops and she decided that she wanted to expand her reach. Unfortunatly, it was becoming difficult for her and her husband to go out selling every weekend.
''My husband suggested the internet and he spent many long hours building a website for us. He gave me the website one year as a Christmas present. At first, we were happy to get 1-2 visitors a week, but he kept improving the site while I was inventing and trying new products.'' she said.
The website now gets 25-35 visitors a day. It also has links from over 4,500 other sites that funnel
traffic to her site. Due to the internet they have managed to get her items in shops as far away as Texas and their products have been shipped to Canada, England, Scotland and Australia.
She now carrys over 200 different items and can custom make them with any of her more than 100 scents. She can also make her products unscented and without dye for those that need or want them this way.
She added. ''After I make a new product, we give a sample to our friends and family members to try out. If they all like it, we then add it to our product line.''

New Scents: We’ve gotten 3 new scents, Sugared Shortbread (A Bath & Body Works discontinued scent), Pumpkin Pie (This one was a problem for me. It necessitated a pie run last week it smelled so good), and Vanilla Mint This was also a problem. My wife made some soap with this and we had to go get some Spearmint leaf gum drops).
We’re doing a fund raiser for the Washington Hunt Elementary School PTA   this weekend. We were one of their vendors last year and were one of their largest donors. 20% of all retail sales for the next month will be donated to them if the customer mentions them.
Here are some tips to help skin feel more comfortable during winter.:
1.Use a humidifier. Heated air tends to be dry and dries our the skin
2.Switch to an oil-based moisturizer and moisturize frequently. Moisturize daily. Cream moisturizers are best for normal to dry skin.
3.Hydrate! The drying effects of indoor heated air mandate you drink your full 8 glasses of water a day.
4.Don't overdo skin cleansing. Once a day is sufficient. Too much cleansing removes the skin's natural moisturizers.
5.Take short, lukewarm showers or baths and use non-irritating, non-detergent- based cleansers. Immediately after your shower or bath, apply a water-in-oil-type moisturizer and gently pat your skin dry.
6.Protect yourself from the wind by covering your face.
7.Protect your skin from the sun. Winter sun can be as dangerous as summer sun. Use a sunscreen of SPF 15 or greater.
8.Don't Forget to Exfoliate: Keep a gentle body scrub and a less abrasive facial exfoliant in the shower and remember to use them both once or twice a week. This gets rid built-up dead skin cells and exposes a fresh layer of skin ready to suck up all the moisturizer you're going to apply when you step out of the tub.
9.Stop Licking Your Lips: We've all been guilty of this assault on our kissers: When our lips feel dry, we lick them. Of course, this only leaves them more chapped. Keep a tube or jar of lip balm with you at all times, and apply every time you get the temptation to lick those dry lips.
10.Exercise: Exercise increases blood flow and thus the supply of oxygen and nutrients to your skin. These factors help skin look dewy and firm, undermining dry skin's brittle stiffness.

Enjoy the holidays and visit us soon. Don’t forget our gift certificates
and our build a basket option for those people that are hard to find a gift for.
